TMVS firearms offer a full range of firearms services. Here are just a few of our most popular options of our valued customers.
We are continually working to add services and will list additional services as they become available.
Firearm Cleaning
Standard Cleaning Includes
Disassembly of the entire gun for removal of any build-up, dirt and residue (ultrasonic cleaning).
Inspection of all working parts for issues.
We will contact you if there are any problems with the inspection and explain what can or should be done before re-assembling the firearm.
Reassembly, lubrication, and application of protective oils to all working parts as well as exterior. Exteriors also cleaned and inspected.
Full firearm function check (3 shot test firing extra fees may apply)
Why should your firearm be ultrasonically cleaned?
There are several areas of firearms that are difficult, if not impossible, to clean via conventional methods. Particularly in slides there are many areas that are often ignored and accumulate grime over time. By immersing your firearm in our ultrasonic cleaner, we can ensure that all dirt and buildup is removed from critical areas like the firing pin channel and under the extractor. If neglected, this buildup can lead to firearm failures, malfunctions and excessive ware.
Cleaning does not include removal of rust and refinishing. We are happy to discuss refinishing. Pricing varies depending on the gun so please contact us for an estimate.
Any brand of gun can be refinished, but not all firearms are suitable for certain refinishing.
Stock Refinishing
We offer a full line of stock refinishing options which include:
Stripping of old finish, sanding out imperfections, restaining (if necessary) and reapplying a protective finish of your choice
Repairs of cracks, scratches and dents.
Cleaning up old checkering patterns (note: not all checkering patterns can be cleaned)
Refinishing while preserving character (most popular). We’ll strip off the old finish and sand down the wood without removing all those “character marks” before applying a finish of your choice. This is popular for customers with a budget and are not necessarily looking for that “brand new” look or still want it to look like a family heirloom.
Choice of finish material and sheens
Applying and sanding layers of finish
Please note: Stock refinishing does not include any metal work, stock fitting, or installation of any features to the stock such as recoil pads or sling swivels.
The price to refinish a firearm can vary greatly depending on the type of firearm and condition of the steel. Like most jobs, the amount of prep work (filing and polishing) will determine the outcome of the job. Again, not all firearms are suitable for certain refinishing.
Prices vary depending on the type of firearm and condition of stock so please contact us for an estimate.
